So yesterday was the first day my shop was open and my website was live – and I would say it was a successful day!! I received so many texts, calls and messages from friends and family with compliments and support, that it truly made my day. I also got over 250 likes on Facebook! I was hoping for 100 likes, but over 250 – woah!! But the most exciting news is that I got my first 6 sales!!! I know this may not seem like a lot but for me it was such an accomplishment on my first day. The best part is that half of the sales were from complete strangers on Etsy – this means that people other than my friends are liking my product and I couldn’t be happier
Below is a quote my sister sent me yesterday that I wanted to share with all of you because I think it is perfect for anyone starting a new business or starting any new adventure. When I read it I said this is SO true! I will keep this one hung up at my desk.
“An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it’s going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming.”
Below is a pic of some of my first orders shipping out – woo!!
I am so excited to announce that the shop is finally open! Little Print Design has been a dream of mine for so long and I am beyond excited to share it with all of you now! It’s been a long road to get here, months of months of planning, long nights, printer nightmares, cry sessions, accomplishments, happiness, learning how to actually use my 50mm lens, designing my first website/blog and most of all just learning how to start a business in general. There is no guide book to teach you everything (oh how i wish there was), instead it is trial and error, and I know it is just beginning! I could have never gotten to my launch without all the support of my husband Isaac – pushing me every day to follow my dream and pursue my passion. I also want to thank my sister, Britt – she has believed in my designs for as long as I can remember and always calls/texts/posts with support daily. And finally one of my best friends, Julie who is also my work roommate, so she spends many hours around me which unfortunately for her leads to listening to every printer nightmare & roadblock along the way & yet never once has showed any less interest or support. But everyone believing in me – and the wonderful feedback from friends and family has been amazing! This blog will follow my journey with Little Print Design and I hope you all follow along! Shop is open – so hope you need to buy some cards!!
